At 110 City of York Air Cadets, we thought we would lend a helping hand to the kids who attend there. We try to help our community as much as we can and contributing to keeping the Cadets fleet of bikes road worthy and safe for the kids to be learning on.
We agreed to collect, service and maintain their bikes. We had our work cut out for us but it was so worth it to see the smiles on all their faces. They have a crazy amount of activities at the Air Force cadets, from band, archery, cyber security and we can’t forget flying in planes!
We were very happy and proud to be able to help the York Air cadets get moving on the ground safely with two wheels. They have sessions twice per week on a Tuesday and Thursday from 7.00pm – 9.30pm
Their parade sessions are held on Burton Stone Lane, YO30 6BY and there is parking and on-site facilities to make sure your time spent there is productive and educational. It’s a definite recommendation from us at Recycle York is your kid wants to be the next Maverick!
Having the team (pictured below) go along to one of their parades to present the York Air Cadets with their news all fixed up was definitely the highlight. Recycle York’s owner and operator, Bradley Mulhearn took the team to get involved and show support to our community and showing them what it was we did and how we managed to get their fleet back up to their high standards.
Our workshop is always full of bikes that we service and repair. Whether its the bikes we recover from the household recycling centres across North Yorkshire, or customers that have come into our shop on Walmgate, we are always more than happy to welcome people in and show them what we can do to help keep their bike running.
You can find more information about what we do here on our bike repairs page. A big thank you to the York Air Cadets for letting us come along and help get their bikes back running again. We hope it won’t be the last time!
