At reCycle, we provide the people of North Yorkshire and beyond affordable and sustainable transport. We were founded as a family business in 2011, with a passion for cycling, we are on a mission to recycle as many bikes as possible. In our 12 years’ operating we have recycled over 50,000 bikes…and counting. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and have amassed over 600 5star reviews on google. We began our business selling 20 bikes per week and we now recycle over 5000 bikes every year and counting.
As our business grew, so did our ambitions. In 2015 we wanted to expand our business and our ability to provide support and assistance to our local community. Our ambition became central to providing workshops and seminars to schools, charities, and other businesses. Within this, we have given away 100s of bikes and taught individuals how to maintain a bike and ensuring it is safe, and road worthy.
Throughout our 12-year service to the cycle industry we have undertaken lots of community focused projects, including running repair workshops for Key Stage 2 children in York Primary schools, giving 162 bikes to NHS workers during the pandemic and providing students with bikes at low costs. We are passionate about giving back to the local community and always strive to achieve this.
