We have absolutely loved our time on Walmgate. So much so, we’re staying on Walmgate! Getting time to start our business, build our bike recovery routes and begin building what we are hoping is going to be York’s best second-hand bike shop. It is time for Recycle York to graduate and find a new home to better help our beautiful city of York.
We have now got to a place that requires more space. We have had a great time working our way up to this point and we are ready to level up and bring a whole new level to the second-hand bike shop game.
Being presented with an opportunity to grow this wouldn’t be possible without the continuous support of all our customers that come in and also the local authorities (City of York Council and North Yorkshire County Council) for providing us a platform to recover as many bikes as we do to fix up for sale in our second-hand bike shop.
We think Walmgate is a great location and feel very lucky to have found another unit available on Enterprise Complex just a little up the road. This opens up the chance for us to have an easier drop-off service, larger shop-floor area and also a bigger workshop space to fix more bikes up.
It is our goal to become York’s biggest, best and most positive second-hand bike shop and we will continue to deliver a brilliant service coupled with affordable solutions for your trusty steed. We understand that there is a lot of work to do in the community and have identified a lot of ways for us to help, with this new space in Unit 3, Enterprise Complex on Walmgate, York… we can provide game-changing solutions and help so many more people see what we do and how they can help build a more circular economy.
